Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 onion chopped onion
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Method
 

  1. Place chicken in crock pot, add vegetables, broth, and cream.
  2. Season with thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper; cook on low 6-7 hours.
  3. Shred chicken, return to pot, and mix well.
  4. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Assemble pie with crusts and filling.
  5. Brush top with egg wash and bake 20-25 minutes until golden.

Notes

Use pre-cooked chicken for quicker preparation if desired.
